  • Rowan Donates $15,000 to Temple Youth Agriculture Education Programming; Rowan Volunteers Help Build New Greenhouse for Students

    Rowan is thrilled to provide a $15,000 donation to Cultivate Academy to help fund youth development and urban agriculture programs. In addition to the financial support, several local Rowan employees volunteered their time to construct a new on-site greenhouse that will expand hands-on learning opportunities for academy members. 

    Cultivate Academy Founder Doree Collins said the donation arrives at a critical time. 

    “This contribution allows us to keep our programming on schedule,” she said. “But it's more than that. Rowan employees came out, rolled up their sleeves, and built something our students will use every day. It’s a true community partnership." 

    The connection between the Academy and Rowan was facilitated by Temple Councilmember Zoe Grant, who said the collaboration reflects the importance of communication among local organizations.

    “When groups talk to each other, it’s easier to solve problems quickly,” Grant said. “I am thrilled that Rowan has taken this community-first approach to their work here in our city.”
